Gambang Water Park

Pengawas Camp

Hey guys, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April me and the other prefects went for our prefects camp in Shah Alam. On the first day, we had aerobic exercises in school and it was fun especially for me as I have recovered from surgery!!!!!! On the second it was amazing race day and we had to do a lot of tasks including putting worms in our mouths and bowling!!!!! Here is a pic of me eating the worm. EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the third day, we had aerobic exercises again and then packed and went home. It was very tiring but it was a fantastic camp that I will never forget!!!!!!!!!!!! Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got through my monthly examination and I got my results. BM : 86, Sc : 88, Eng. : 90, KH : 97, Sejarah : 98, Geo : 98, and finnally M3 : 99. I am no. one in my class. Hey guys, when I ent to the hospital for sugery they measured my height. Guess what?? I have reached 5 feet. Cool right. Finally!!!!! I have been waiting for this day for sooooooo long. Now, I am taller than my 20 year old cousin, Mithrah akka. In your face akka!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Surgery AHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hi, on Tuesday 10/1/11 I went for a hernia repair surgery. I was very scared as I had never had a surgery and this is my first time. They cut below my stomach and it hurts. I did not go to school for two days. It was a scary experience.

On day 12 we left for Malaysia. We said goodbye to Uncle Sambath, our driver and Uncle Shankar. The flight took 3.5 hrs. I was really looking forward to NASI LEMAK and got it !!!!!!!! You do not know how happy I am. Hehehehehehe!!!!!

India - Day 10 & Day 11 - Mahabalipuram

On day 10 we shopped in Chennai. I bought a few jippa's which were very colourful. The things we cheap and reasonable. On day 11, we went to Mahabalipuram which is a tourist site. It was very nice. They had very nice sculptures which were very detailed. Awesome!!!!!!

India - Day 9 - Rameshwaram

On day 9, we went to Rameshwaram. There we had a bath in 22 wells. It is said that all the 22 wells have different tastes. Its true!!! I tasted water from every well. Some are sweet and some are sour. There are 108 lingams in Rameshwaram and they are all different. Some are big some are small and some have square bases. There is also a temple where a special Lingam is kept. It is believed that Seetha built this Lingam out of sand to thank Lord Siva after Rama saved her from Ravana, the evil king. The bridge that Rama built in Danushkodi is broken but still there. After that, we took a train ride all the way to Chennai. It was really fun!!!

India - Day 8 - Avudaiyar

Hai, after Katpagavinaiyagar we went to Avudaiyar. In that temple, the Lingam has no head only the base to represent the Lord 's formless appearance. This temple has 32 specialities. The pillars make music and wherever you stand there will always be a shadow no matter how dark and all the 1008 temples in India are painted on the ceiling. This temple is famous because this is where Saint Manikavasagar sang Sivapuranam. Awesome right!!

India - Day 8 - Pillaiyar Patti

On day 8, we went to Pillaiyar Patti which is famous for Katpagavinayagar. That statue of Ganesha that has only 2 hands is one of a kind. All the other Pillaiyar statue's have four hands. There is another Katpagavinayagar which is situated in Afghanistan. The statue is very big and is gold in colour. We all sang Agaval there together. It was fun.

India - Day 7 - Madurai Meenakshi

Here, the temple is gigantic . I know I have said that a lot of times but this temple is BIG. This amman is famous for its nose ring which is made of a real diamond. It glows brightly at night. Saint Arunagirinathar became a bird in Thiruvannamalai and flew all the way to Madurai and stood on the Amman statue's hand. We saw it there. It is so cooool!!!!

India - Samayapuram Mariamman

Hey, after Palani we went to Samayapuram Mariamman Temple. There we met Amu. She is a small girl at the age of 11. She brought us around the temple. We first me met her when she helped my mother stand up. Then my dad offered her money and believe it or not she did not accept. After the tour we offered again and finally she accepted. Cool right!!!!!

Hello, in day 7 we went to Palanivel Murugan temple. We had to climb 689 steps to get there. I know!!!!! Its really tiring. The Murugan statue there was good looking too!!!! This is a pic with me and my family. Bye for now.

Haiiii, after Sri Jampukeswarar, we went to Sri Rangam which is a very big Vishnu temple. There is a sleeping Vishnu statue there which is very beautiful. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded so we could not enjoy the beauty of Vishnu for long. Sad :( . But fun!!!!

India - Day 6 - Sri Jampukeswarar Temple

Next we went to the Jampukeswarar temple. This temple is also 1 of the pancha pootham. It is the element of water. They say that the temple is flooded during the rainy season because the Kaveeri River runs under it. There are a few holes around the lingam and water flows through these holes and flood the Lingam. The Lingam is submerged underwater so it represents the element of water.

India - Day 6 - Thayumanavar

At Thayumanuvar, there was a big Lingam. There we sang 'Nun Drudai Yanai' which is a really long song. We practiced that song for many many days. The Lingam there is also quite big. It was very good. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

India - Day 6 - Uchi Pillaiyar ( Rockfort Hill )

Haiyoooo, on day 6 we went to Uchi Pillaiyar. There we had to climb a lot of steps to reach there. You know, the final flight of steps looked exactly and I mean exactly like Pillaiyar 's Trunk. THis place used to be a British Fort. The people there invited us into the moolastanam. That was awesome!!!!! Although it was tiring I had a great lot of FUN!!!

India - Day 5 - Tanjavour Big Temple

After Saraswathy Mahal we went to Tanjavour Big Temple and it is really really really really really really BIG. They recently celebrated their 1000 year anniversary. It is a really old temple and I mean it when I say old. There is a big Nanthi and and even bigger Lingam. The Lingam is huge. This is a pic of the Nanthi. Unfortunately, we could not take a photo of the Lingam but it is BIG. There is also a statue of the architect of temple but he committed suicide. This was because he was a saivite and when Vaishnavites came into the temple he got angry and killed himself and cursed so that if any politician came into the temple would lose the election. Ever since that day, no politician came into the temple. This is a pic of the Nanthi.

India - Day 5 - Swami Malai

Haiiii, after Thiruvaiyaruur we went to Swami Malai Murugan Temple. This temple is one of the Arupadai Veedu Murugan Temples ( there are six of them ). The was a beautiful Murugan statue there. Very nice. After that, we went to The Saraswathi Mahal museum. A lot of old things are there. Very weird.

India - Day 5 - Thiruvaiyarur

On day 5 we went to Thiruvaiyaru. There the story is about Appar or Thirunavukarasar who wanted to go to Mount Kalaish to see Lord Shiva. He was 80 years old. So, he suffered to go there. He even crawled as he was too old to walk. Lord Shiva saw him and came to his rescue in the form of an old man and told him to jump into the pool that was there and said that Appar could see Lord Shiva. Appar did so and guess what?? He came out at a pond in Thiruvaiyarur and saw Lord Shiva and Parvathi sitting on a nanthi. Then he sang 'Mathar Pirai Kanni Yaanai'. We also went to the temple there. It says that if you shout 'Aiyarappa' it echos seven times. It is really cool.

India - Day 4 - Thiruvaruur

Heiyo, after Thirunalalur, we went to Thiruvaruur which where Suntharar was. Can you imagine!! We were on the same soil that Suntharar stepped on!!! Imagine that!!!!! That place is also famous for the enormous ratam or 'theirr' as they call it. It is very big and colourful. There is also a giant teppa kulam there. This is a pic of it.

Haiiiii, after Thirukadaiyur we went to Thirunalalur . There is a big Sivan temple which is famous for Saneeswaran. First we had a bath in the teppa kulam there. The steps were sooo slippery as it was covered with algae. The water was icy cold and I was freezing and shivering. This is a pic of me there. After that we went to pray in that temple to the Lingam and the Saneeswaran. They put a malai over me and I felt like a King.

Hey, after Seerkaali we went to Thirukadaiyur. Its a big Amman temple. The story here is about a great amman devotee.Subramaniya Iyer ( Abhirami Pattar )was born to one Amirthalinga Iyer in the village of Thirukadaiyur. Tirukkadaiyur was one of the agraharams established by the Maratha ruler Serfoji I, a great admirer of Brahmin poets and bards, in the early part of the 18th century. The village was famous for its temple to Lord Shiva. Right from his childhood, Subramaniya Iyer was drawn to the temple and the Goddess.As he grew Subramaniya Iyer developed a fanatical devotion to Goddess Abhirami. He would sit in a corner of the temple meditating upon the Goddess and singing her praises. As time passed, he was forever immersed in meditation upon the Goddess that he began to observe the supposed likeliness of the Goddess in the persona of the women around him and often showered them with flowers. According to sources, soon, a particular section of the populace began to regard him as a madman.One day, Raja Serfoji, the Maratha Raja of Thanjavur who ruled over the land, visited the temple to pay homage to Lord Shiva. On noticing the peculiar behavior of Subramaniya Iyer who was a temple priest, he inquired the other priests about the individual. One of them remarked that he was a madman while another rejected this categorization explaining to the king that Subramaniya Iyer was only an ardent devotee of Goddess Abhirami. Seeking to know the truth himself, Serfoji approached the priest and asked him what day of the month it was i.e. whether it was a full-moon day or a new-moon day. Subramaniya Iyer who could see nothing else but the shining luminant form of the Goddess before him wrongly answered that it was a full-moon day while it was in fact a new-moon day. The king rode off informing the former that he would have his head cut off if the moon did not appear on the sky by six in the night.
Immediately realizing his mistake, Subramaniya Iyer supposedly lit a huge fire and erected a platform over it supported by a hundred ropes. He sat upon the platform and prayed to the Goddess Abhirami to save him. He cut off one rope after another in succession on completion of each verse of his prayer. These hymns form the Abhirami Anthadhi. On completion of the 79th hymn,the Goddess Abhirami manifested herself before him and threw her earring over the sky such that it shone with bright light upon the horizon. Overcome with ecstasy, Subramaniya Iyer composed 22 more verses in praise of the Goddess.The king repented his mistake and immediately cancelled the punishment he had awarded Subramaniya Iyer. He also bestowed upon the latter the title of "Abirami Pattar" or "priest of Goddess Abhirami" and supposedly awarded his successors the privilege of using the title "Bharathi".

India - Day 4 - Seerkaali

On day 4 we went to Seerkaali. This is the place where Tirunyanasambanthar got milk from Parvathi. The story goes like this : Nyanasambanthar is waiting for his father on the steps of the teppa kulam. He was only three years old. Suddenly, he cries. This was because he was hungry. Shiva and Parvathi came. Parvathi fed him milk and he stopped crying. Then they went away. After that, his father came out of the teppa kulam and saw milk stains on his son 's mouth. He got angry as nobody should feed him milk. He then threw the container that contained milk onto the wall. He then asks his son who did this. As Nyanasambanthar was only a small boy he could not talk so he sang 'Thodudaiya Seviyan'.

India - Day 3 - Chithambaram

After Tiruvenainallur, we went to Chitambaram. This is my most favouruite temple. This is because it is a big, clean and beatiful. The Thillai Natarajer is so cool looking. Fortunately that day Pradosham and there was a beautiful ceremony going on. The unfortunate part was that it was extremely crowded. In the Pancha Pootham ( the five elements ), this temple is the element of space. OOOOOOO!!!!!!!! There was a big Vishnu statue there too. They say when the saivites and the vaishnavites fought, the saivites threw that Vishnu statue into the sea. Later on, the statue is said to be back. In this temple, Seikilar ( the writer of Periapuranam ) launched the Periapuranam. There he told the story of the 63 nayanar saints one bye one. Further more, Manickavasagar dissapeared at the moolastanam at this place. Okay let me tell you the story. Manickavasagar was in the temple gardens when an old man (Lord Siva) comes and tells him to sing Sivapuranam. So, Manickavasagar sings. The old man writes this down. He gives it to Manickavasagar. Manickavasagar leaves it on the steps and dissapears into the moolastanam.

New Bike ( Awesome!!!!!!!!!!! )

As I got 5A's fort my UPSR, my parents bought me a brand new bicycle. Awesome right!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bike is white and black with a dash of red. My new bike has a 6 gears so I can go reall really fast. I go cycling every evening with my brother. My mother walks with us . Thank you so much GOD. You are the best.

India - Day 3 - Thiruvenainallur

On day 3, we went to Thiruvenainallur. That is after breakfast. I had 2 humongous tosai. I LOVE TOSAI. Anyway, Thiruvenainallur is where Sunthararmoorthy Nayaynar was supposed to get married when Lord Shiva came in the form of an old man and stopped the wedding and told Suntharar that he cannot get married as he was the old man 's slave. Suntharar got angry called the old man pittan ( crazy). Ignoring Suntharar, the old man took Suntharar to his Home (the temple). When they got there Suntharar asked the old man why he brought him to the temple. The old man simply went into the moolastanam where a sivalaingam was kept and disappeared. Only then Suntharar realised that the old man was GOD. From somewhere, a God 's voice called out to him and told him to sing songs about the great Lord Siva. Suntharar said that he does not how to start. God said " Start with the word Pittan because that is what you called me". At that moment, Suntharar sang 'Pitta pirai soodi' . On the second day, we went to Thiruvanamalai . There we went for a 14.5 km walk around Mount Thiruvanamalai. Along the walk we stopped at 8 temples . All were Sivan (Lingam) temples. They were called the AshtaLingam . Ashta means eight. Along the walk we never had any difficulty. Even my 72 year old grandmother walked. Well, that is the power of GOD. In the Pancha Pootham ( the five elements ), Thiruvanamalai is the element of fire. Oh well, by for now.

Hello guys, after Egambanathar Temple, we went to Kasi Nathar temple which was the temple that a king built many years ago. At the same time, Poosalar, a saint of the63 nayanmar saints, built a temple in his mind as he had no money. Lord Shiva came in the dream of the king and told him that He will not be attending the king' s temple' s kumbabishegam and will be attending another temple' s kumbabishegam. So, the king was wondering about the temple that Poosalar built and went searching for him. He was thoroughly shaken went he realised that Poosalar had built the temple in his mind and was deeply humbled that Lord Shiva appreciated Poosalar's virtual temple more than his.

India - Day 1 - Egambanathar Temple

Yo, wats up. After Kanchi Kamakshi, we proceeded to Egambanathar Temple. Legend has it that Parvathi built a Siva Lingam out of soil. That Lingam was kept in that temple. As that Lingam was made out of soil, they could not do abishegam because the Lingam would disintegrate. This lingam had no base. There is also a mango tree at the age of 3500 years. In the pancha pootham ( the five elements ) this temple is the element of earth. It was really great.

I am proud to announce that I got 5A's for my UPSR examination. Nimalan and Anjali also got 5A's for the exam. Unfortunately, Kischentaran got 3A and 2B's. We went to Canada's Wonderland. I went on 5 rolercoasters and then I puked twice it was soooooooo much fun. It was awesome. I enjoyed it very much.

Hey everybody, on day 9 we went to the African Lion Safari which is quite far from our house. All the animals were let out of their cages so we had to close our windows because they even let out lions. Fierce ones!!! We saw about ten types of animals. Then baboons started to climb on our car!!! Many of them. And then I saw this weird thing, it kind of looked like a bison and zebra mixed together. Nobody had any idea what it was. It was a fun day.

We went to the Royal Ontario Museum which is a very informative and massive museum. See how big it is? We also got a lot of information and I also got to taste a Canadian hotdog. YUMMY!!!

We went my uncle's friends house for lunch. Then we played with his dog, Jasmine who is a fast runner. He said he will give five canadian dollars (RM15) to anybody who can catch Jasmine. No body got her. Haha!!! Then we went to a farm and there we saw many animals such as chickens, donkeys, rabbits, and even turkeys. We took picture and had a lot of fun.

We went to the CN Tower which is the tallest building in the world. It has 147 floors and is very high. I am also afraid of heights so I did not enjoy it very much. They even have glass floors so you can see that I was very scared. Well thats all for now, bloggers. Bye!

On day 5, we went to Niagara Falls which is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. It is the border between USA and Canada and it is about 100 km from our house. We went in a boat called 'THE MAID OF THE MIST'. With that boat we went near the falls and we got really wet!!! It was a lot of fun!!!

Yesterday, we went to Square One which is the biggest shopping mall in Toronto, Canada. I bought a Transformers Bumblebee toy. It is quite cheap here in Canada compared to Malaysia. It was the coolest shopping mall I have ever seen.

One day 3, we went to the Toronto Zoo. It is 50km from our aunty's house in Redbush Drive in Mississauga, Canada. It is definitely bigger than our zoo in Malaysia. We had to walk quite a bit because as I said before it was a very big zoo but we did not mind because there were many flowers that made us cheerful. We saw many animals like tigers, lions, hippos, birds and even bugs.

Yesterday, we went to Casa Loma which was located in Toronto. It is an old castle built in the late 1800's. It is very beautiful. Casa Loma belonged to Sir Henry Pellat. He spent $3,500,000 building it. It is an extrodinary castle.

On day 1, we went to the Ontario Science Center. It was like the National Science Center in Malaysia. We got a lot of info about the planetarium, spy gear and even how hologram's work, and did you guys know that one light beam has 7 colours in it? That's right, its Newton's bright idea. As you can see, this Science Center is very informative. You guys really should go to Canada.

Hey there bloggers, I am now in Canada. It is soooooooooooooooo much fun. Its quite weird though. Its spring but its extremely cold, as cold as 6 degrees Celsius. Yesterday was my first day in Canada. We did not go anywhere because we needed our rest, and it was soooooooooooooo cool on an aeroplane. Why didn't you guys tell me it was this fun. I'm going to Canada on the 30th May. Don't laugh bloggers but this is my first time on an aeroplane. Some information about Canada : This is what I got so far. Canada is the second largest country in the world. The population of Canada is 33,643,125 people. A lot huh? I am going to Toronto which is one of the major cities of Canada. Taekwondo

One month ago, I went for my poom belt test in my school. We have been training for 4 years and it is time for us to become the seniors of the Taekwondo Federation. We have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Poom belt is also known as black belt but since we are below 16 years old, we can't get our black belts yet. On that day, we were supposed break a 1/2 inched plank with our bare feet. We were very happy when we broke the plank. I and my brother owe it all to our father. Before the test, he would make sure that we train every Saturday. He even bought five planks for us to break. We broke 4 out of five of the planks. It was the best day of my life.

Tamil New Year

On 14th April was the Hindu Tamil New Year. Tamil New Year is a new year celebration for the Hindu's. The Hindu New Year begins on the day the sun enters the Zodiacal house Medam(Aries) in the month Chithirai(April-May). Before Tamil New Year, we cleaned our house. We then made a butter cake and murukkus. Then we prayed in the temple. At night, we put candles outside our house. It was a lot of fun.

Thaipusam Trip

During Thaipusam, my family and I went to Batu caves. We wanted to pray for the coming exams. On the way there we saw many kavadi. For your information, kavadi is carried by a person who gets into a trance. Sometimes they poke their body with sharp hooks. It is something like a sacrifice to God for all the good things that had happened to us. Anyway, we went up, prayed and came down. Boy, was that tiring!!!!!After that we went home. It was a really nice trip. Bye, that is all for now.

Pancing Caves

During the Chinese New year holidays my family and I went to Pancing Caves or known as Charas Caves.There are 2 temples in the cave, a Buddist temple and a Shive Temple. It is something like Batu Caves. It was quite high from the ground. We accidentally climbed too high until we reached the place were people do research! We were wondering where the temple was and so we went down again then we found the temple! Boy was that tiring!!! We prayed to our God the Sivalingam. Then we went deeper into the cave and there we saw the Sleeping Buddha. After we saw the Gods we went down. It was a tiring but fun trip.

Desa Water Park

Last Tuesday my mum ,brother,cousins,aunt and I went to Desa Water Park.It was the biggest water park that I have ever seen.There were slides everywhere. We went for "Shock Wave".It was like being in the beach but the waves were bigger!!!It was a lot of fun. Later we went for "Thunderbolt", it was the biggest water slide I have ever seen!!! Then we went for the "Action River". We had to use a float and float around the whole water park. Then we went to the water slides. It was very slippery and it was a lot of fun!

Putrajaya Wetlands

Last Monday morning my mum, my brother, my grandparents, my cousins, my aunt and I went to Putrajaya.There we visited many places like the Putrajaya Wetlands and Putrajaya Lake.Taman Wetland is the first man-made wetlands in Malaysia.There I saw many flamingos. After that we went to the observation tower. We could see the whole of Putrajaya. Later, we went to Tasik Putrajaya. There we went on a boat ride. Unfotunately, the camera battery went low so we could not take any photos. The boat ride was a lot of fun. We saw the Prime Minister's house and the Agong's Palace.This trip was a lot of fun!

PJ Museum

Yesterday, my mother,my brother,my friend,his mum and I went to the PJ Museum.There we got a lot of information.I will tell them to you.PJ was established in the year 1953. Before this year PJ was a rubber estate. The founder of PJ was Sir Gerald Templar.PJ became a city in 2006.PJ's official flower is the red henna and PJ's official tree is the petaling tree.This tree can also be found in Sri Lanka.MBPJ's football team's mascot is the giant black widow.That is all the information I have collected.

Yesterday,my mother,my brother,my friend,his mum and I went to FRIM.For your info FRIM is the forest research institute of Malaysia.There we went for the canopy walk.First we went through the jungle until we reached a hut-like building. There we started the canopy walk.We walk from bridge to bridge.It was very scary.WE WERE 1200 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND!!!!!!!!! Then we took a shortcut and went back home.IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

Visit To My Grandparents Home in Pahang

From last Saturday to Tuesday my family and I went to Kuantan in Pahang. There I stayed in my grandparent's house.We visited the Buddhist temple and the beach. In the beach we had a picnic but I did not eat much. There were many crabs in the beach but they were very small. We swam in the sea too.It was really fun. The next day, we went to the Buddhist temple. There is a big lake with fish, tortoises and even an iguana. Then we went home. It was a fun holiday.

PKSR4 was a blast!

Last Monday to Friday, was P.K.S.R.4. We studied very very hard. Everybody was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy on Friday when the exams were over. When the bell for the last exam rang, everybody in the whole school shouted like....like....well like mad mad mad students. We shouted like Troy,Gabriella and the whole East High in High School Musical 2. And we all shouted our favourite motto "SCHOOL'S OUT, SCREAM AND SHOUT."

March 2008- Kuala Gandah, Mentekab

My family and I went to Kuala Gandah last March. It is an elephant sanctuary in Mentakab. We fed the elephants with rotten bananas! Ew!!! Then it was snack time! YUMMY!!! We were eating some crackers on a bridge when we saw a water snake in the water. It was heading toward some children playing by the riverbank!!!!!! Luckily, it turned around and was swimming away from the children. Phew!!Then I rode on a baby elephant. Wheeeeee!!!!!!!! Then, it was time to go home. We were sad that we had to go, but at the same time I was happy because I had fun with elephants, but not only that, I was also happy because I got to see a wild water snake! Whoohoo!!!!!! Bye for now.
